Detectives have issued a new appeal for the public's help in tracking down the killer of James Attfield.

Dad-of-five Mr Attfield, of East Bay, Colchester, was stabbed 102 times in the attack near Lower Castle Park in Colchester on March 29.

Three months on, police are still hunting for his murderer and have now released a new appeal.

They want to speak to seven people who were in the area when Mr Attfield was killed and who have not yet come forward.

To date, detectives have taken over 800 statements and over 230 people have phoned them in response to appeals following Mr Attfield's brutal murder on March 29.

Police currently have over 4,300 documents and intelligence recorded on file.

The reward for information leading to the conviction of Mr Attfield's murder has been doubled from £5,000 to £10,000.
