MARATHON man Sean Lawlor’s next challenge will be a shorter, sharper and more dangerous race: The Pamplona Bull Run.

Sean, 44, from Shrub End, Colchester, has run marathons around the world.

Next Friday he will fly to the north of Spain and tackle the controversial Catalonian tradition – twice.

Instead of running 26.2 miles, Sean will only have to travel 826 metres.

However, he will have six 60-stone bulls charging him.

Sean said: “They do it every morning for a week, so I’m running Saturday morning and Sunday morning.

“The bulls are at one end of the town and you just run until you get to the bull ring, I presume.

“It’s not much of a run – it’s only five minutes – but of course you’ve got to run as quickly as possible.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”
