VILLAGERS’ gardens will be open to the public to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The charity helped Tom Bowdidge and his family cope before the inspirations teenager died in October after battling aggressive stomach cancer.
Some 13 gardens in the village will be open on Sunday, June 22 between 1pm and 5pm.
Event programmes will be on sale at the Methodist Chapel Hall and St Mary The Virgin Church Hall as well as the gardens.
Refreshments will also be available.
The gardens are in:
• Hill House, Colchester Road
• 3 Garthwood Close
• Colne House, School Lane
• Bures House, 20 Lexden Road
• The Grays, 16 Lexden Road
• 25 Albany Road
• 30 Valley Crescent
• 40 Valley Crescent
• Janvier, Chapel Lane
• Holly House, Queens Road
• Norhurst, Queens Road
• Garlands Farm, Bourne Road
• Barn End, Cooks Hall Lane
Allotments in New Church Road will also be open.
Visitors will have to pay £4 to tour the gardens.
