Burglars have stolen jewellery and Victorian keepsakes worth more than £1,000.
The thieves forced open a window at a house in Chapel Road, Ridgewell, and caused damage to a set of French doors by attempting to open them with shears taken from the shed.
They stole a rose gold locket, a sewing machine, a cross and a chain with a floral engraving, three assorted gold charms, a blue and white Wedgewood necklace on a silver chain, Schwartz crystal earrings and a Schwartz crystal pendant on a silver chain among other items.
An oak jewellery box and a Victorian wallet containing a photo of a baby were also taken in last Monday’s raid.
The stolen goods were worth about £1,090.
