HARWICH lifeboat crews were called to windsurfing incidents twice in one day.
At 2.12pm on Saturday Thames Coastguard received a call from Felixstowe National Coastwatch Institution reporting an object in the water in an area where windsurfers had been operating earlier.
Harwich RNLI joined Shingle Street Coastguard and found the object, which has been described as nothing untoward.
But at 4pm crews were in Single Street in Suffolk after a 999 call from a woman concerned for her husband's safety.
They kept watch on the man until he safely returned to the shore.
