An entrepreneur will pitch his revolutionary skiing app to Sir Richard Branson after winning a place in the final of a national competition.
Jamie Grant, 28, from Langham, is one of six finalists in Virgin Media’s Pitch to Rich competition.
The former Colchester Royal Grammar School pupil created Lines, a snowsports application that uses smartphone sensors to track skiiers on the slopes.
On Tuesday, Jamie will travel to the Branson family home in Oxfordshire to pitch to a panel of entrepreneurs, including Sir Richard and Nick Jenkins, founder of greeting card website Moonpig.
He has been chosen from more than 400 applicants for a chance to win £5,000 to further his business.
Jamie said: “Having the opportunity to pitch our company to Sir Richard Branson is a real honour - and it’ll be a great chance to get feedback from industry professionals.
“I’m looking forward to meeting him and even if we don’t win, it will be great to meet lots of cool people.”
