THE number of unemployed young people in Colchester has dropped by more than a third in the last year.
Official labour market statistics show the number of people aged 18 to 24 claiming Jobseekers’ Allowance in Colchester constituency has dropped from 750 in March 2013 to 475 a year later.
The promising figures come a week after Prime Minister David Cameron praised the Gazette for its successful 100 Apprenticeships in 100 Days project.
