Hanningfield to face Lords suspension

Gazette: Hanningfield to face Lords suspension Hanningfield to face Lords suspension

SHAMED peer Lord Hanningfield faces suspension from the House of Lords over allegations relating to his parliamentary expenses.

Lord Hanningfield, who was jailed in 2011, has defended his right to claim a £300 daily attendance allowance, despite reportedly spending little time in Parliament.

A national newspaper said the Lords Privileges and Conduct Committee was set to recommend suspending him from Parliament until the next general election and ordering him to repay some of the money he had claimed.

It reported the peer had tried to justify his actions by saying he needed the cash to hire a man to look after his poultry while he was in Westminster.

I think suspension for Paul White (won't call him Lord Hanningfield) is the right thing to do. Perhaps hanging him from a tree in a field would be best.

The longer this goes on the worse the ordinary man and woman will think of politicians generally. The plebs should have a say in this and that is my view.

Good grief! How can you compare what I said about Paul White (which incidentally was a tongue in cheek comment) with the atrocious death of Jim Attfield!

And, if you think Paul White, a convicted criminal, is a 'very nice chap' then I suggest you take a look at your own thought processes of what is right and wrong! What Paul White did was wrong and with support from people like you he will continue to think he can milk the system as if he is above the law.

Oh dear has someone forgotten their medication again? You seem to be confused as to what makes someone look stupid let me help you out there. Making a tongue in cheek comment about a convicted thief who stole from those he was serving doesn't make one stupid. The Conservative Party used him and abandoned him, after he embarrassed them.

There were suggestions that he did not understand the duties and subtleties of governance way back to the late 1980s - particularly in relation to education in Ongar, back then, but subsequently the Conservatives kept putting him up as a candidate in Stock, gave him high responsibility in Essex and later in national Government.

Yet none of them have bailed him out financially so he is left prostituting himself to get parliamentary allowances to support his past financial commitments and his current way of life.

The conservative government has not even reformed the House of Lords to stop such an expensive farce continuing(as they said they would) - yet still folk will vote for them in the upcoming elections and then bleat on about integrity in parliament and such-like.

Meanwhile, instead of dealing with the issue once and for all with some good investigative journalism - the local press just keep the story ticking over.

I actually feel some sympathy for the bloke himself who was allowed to believe he is brighter than obviously he is. He has not been the first duped by the Essex Tories and probably will not be the last, unless, national Governement, gives local government real money raising authority again and then people with integrity and a sense of true public duty offer them selves for election to serve the public rather seek self-aggrandisement.

This is the classic example of somebody riding "the gravy train" and even now, he cannot see that the public mood has shifted a lot over the past years. An "attendance allowance" gets paid if you attend. If you don't attend, why should you get the allowance? It seems so obvious! In what parallel universe can he imagine that he would not be under scrutiny anyway, so trying to pull a fast one like this just seems ridiculous.

You also have spelling issues, serious is spelt serious not seious, I mean where the F**K did you get that one from.
Let me help you, when you see a little red line appear under the word, right click on your mousey pad and the site will give you a spell check list.
If you have an advanced PC like I have just bought myself, you tap the pad with TWO fingers and up it will come without any clicking.
By the way I am on medication and it is a badge I wear with pride.
What prejudices or discriminations do you have against people with Mental Health Contraindications?
Freud once said there was no guarantee, that the so called "Normal human mental state is the correct one". The minority of people in any Mental health predicament, maybe the natural norm of the human evolutionary make up.
If you are anything to go by, I would be inclined to agree with that.

Perhaps hanging him from a tree in a field would be best.[/p]
Advocating murder to a fellow of the realm, is not the most appropriate advise and ill thought of with a killer or killers on the loose in the borough. Someone that is as prolific a poster on this site paper as yourself should know better. It rests my case that you and your other chums on this site, write nothing but riddles and rubbish. You have made yourself look really st*p*d here. Come on Boris or UndergroundOvergroun d or Ritchie Hicks or Steve Dawson or Angry Of Lexden or Romantic or Reginald47: Paul White is a very nice chap and I can think of worse in this community ie someone that stabs a disabled bloke 102 Times. You lot need to get your facts and priorities right. THE WITCH HUNT NEEDS TO END. This is not the Klu Lux Klan????[/p]
Oh dear has someone forgotten their medication again? You seem to be confused as to what makes someone look stupid let me help you out there. Making a tongue in cheek comment about a convicted thief who stole from those he was serving doesn't make one stupid. Thinking that prosecuting the pig farming thief is somehow detracting from a seious murder investigation does make you look a bit of a clown. Strangely many people thought Jimmy Savile was a 'very nice chap' I dont see you leaping to his defence.[/p]
