Almost £250,000 has been collected in a year as a result of penalty notices issued on Colchester’s ten most ticketed streets.
Drivers in the High Street fell foul of parking wardens the most, with 2,633 tickets issued in the year ending on March 31.
Another hotspot is Oxford Road, where £16,106 was received by the North Essex Parking Partnership (NEPP) and 424 fixed penalty notices were issued.
Oxford Road adjoins Essex County Hospital, whilst there are also three schools - Colchester Royal Grammar School, Colchester High School and Oxford House School - in the immediate vicinity.
