Police search after man flees from Alresford crash

POLICE are searching for a man following a car crash in Alresford.

The man is understood to have fled the scene with a head wound following a collision in Wivenhoe Road.

The police helicopter and officers are carrying out a search.

He is white, 6ft tall and is wearing a dark jacket and shorts.

PC Dan Heard tweeted about the incident at about 4.45pm this afternoon.
