A ENTREPRENEUR is on track to pitch his business plan to Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson.

Jamie Grant, 28, is in the running to reach the final in the search for Britain’s best business start-up.

He is one of just ten aspiring entrepreneurs shortlisted from hundreds of entries from across the UK.

Mr Grant, who lives in Colchester, runs Lines, a winter sports app, which measures a number of things to make a ski holiday more fun.

His vision is to bring more wearable technology to snow sports, to analyse a skier’s motion and set out how their technique could be improved.

Real-time feedback would be sent to the skier through “heads up” displays, which can be seen inside a helmet.

The winner of the competition will get a face-to-face meeting with Sir Richard and will receive a prize package worth £5,000.
