EXTRA pictures of murder victim Jim Attfield have been released.

His killers are still on the loose and detectives hope the pictures will help jog someone's memory who may have seen him.

Jim, 33, of East Bay, Colchester, was last seen at about 10.30pm on Friday, March 28, in Castle Park.

He had recently left the River Lodge pub where he had been drinking for a few hours.

He was found on a footpath near Castle Park at 5.45am unconscious and died soon after from 102 stab wounds.

Detectives are still trying to piece together his movements.

They are also continuing to appeal for information on three people, pictured on e-fits here.

Det Chief Insp Simon Werrett said: "I am hoping these photographs of James will help people to remember whether they saw him on Friday night or Saturday morning.

"While we are examining many hours of CCTV in the area we still need to piece together James’ last movements before he was killed.

"I am sure there is still someone out there who has information they are not sharing with police.

"I would urge them to contact my team or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”

A special hotline number to the murder investigation team is still active between 6.30am and 8pm on 01245 282103.

Outside these times on 101. You can also give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
