Police to take no action against Colchester Leisure Centre worker accused of theft
A FORMER Colchester Leisure World worker arrested on suspicion of stealing tens of thousands of pounds from the centre has been told she will face no charges.
The woman, 32, was arrested on suspicion of theft last October after a Colchester Council probe found money had gone missing between November 2010 and May 2012.
The unnamed former employee was sacked at the time.
However on answering police bail yesterday she was told by officers she would face no charges.
A spokesman said: “The 32-year-old woman from the Colchester area has been released from her police bail without charge.”
