A THREE step programme will be introduced in Colchester to tackle out of control youths.
Colchester’s town centre police team will try working with parents to improve the behaviour of those responsible for antisocial behaviour.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “As the better weather comes the process will begin with an advice letter to parents advising them of their child’s behaviour.
“On the second occasion a warning letter will be sent to parents inviting them to meet with the neighbourhood policing team sergeant to discuss their child’s behaviour.
“If the antisocial behaviour continues the child will be issued with an antisocial behaviour contract.”
The team will be focusing on Castle Park, North Station Road, the Dutch Quarter and Firstsite and the surrounding area.
