PLANS for 170 homes in a Colchester village are set to be unveiled.

Bloor Homes will unveil its blueprint to build the homes on former warehouses at Rowhedge Wharf tomorrow.

The proposed development, off High Street, will include 15 flats and a range of two, three, four and five-bed homes.

There would also be a new boat house where residents can store their boats and launch on a new slip way.

The development has been split into two phases.

The first planning application will see a new access road built to the wharf site from Rectory Road, which means no construction traffic would have to use High Street.

A second application will take account of the homes and community facilities.

Bloor Home’s plans will be unveiled tomorrow in Rowhedge Village Hall, in Rectory Road, between 2pm and 7pm.
