Why was crash crossing broken?

COUNCIL bosses have been slammed after waiting until a pedestrian was seriously injured in a car crash before fixing broken traffic lights.

The man, 47, was struck as he tried to cross the busy Avenue of Remembrance, in Colchester, at a crossing near St Helena School.
