A MAN has called for the pavement outside Colchester’s new magistrates’ court building to be fixed after he tripped and hurt his knee.

Daniel Lewis, 42, who has Parkinson’s disease, was walking to work on Wednesday when he tripped on a loose paving slab.

He is concerned an older person could suffer a serious injury.

Mr Lewis, who lives in the New Town area of Colchester, and works as a cleaner, said: “I went past so many loose slabs.

“If an elderly person should do that they could break something and it could be serious.”
