A GROUP set up to oversee Colchester's night time economy has been relaunched.
Colchester Pub Watch includes representatives from pubs and clubs, Colchester Council and Essex Police.
Its aim is to ensure Colchester has a safe and enjoyable night time economy by introducing a number of schemes which focus on reducing alcohol-related crime.
John Valerkou, Pub Watch charman, said: "I am looking forward to working with other licensees and partner agencies.
“This group is a positive move forward.”
Town centre licensing Sgt Sue Richardson, of Essex Police, said: "Police officers in Colchester are very pleased to be involved with Pub Watch and already have several initiatives in the pipeline to support a reduction in alcohol related crime.”
