YOUNGSTERS donned hats and gowns for a mock graduation from the Children’s University.

Those who had completed the curriculum were given certificates by the university’s chancellor Les Nicoll, a community safety support officer with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.

Essex University played host to the ceremony, which was held at the Ivor Crewe Lecture Theatre on the Wivenhoe campus.

Almost 150 children graduated at the event.

Having spent many years and much money obtaining my BSc. and M.A I am not sure how I feel about these mock graduations somehow I feel my efforts have been a bit de valued.

Quite agree Taj
this US style mock graduation is so the yummy mummy's can live though their children rather than letting them be children and run around in the woods getting dirty.
