A WOMAN lost her locks to raise cash for two cancer charities.
Pharmacy dispenser Nicky Poulter had her hair shaved off where she works at Boots on Greenstead, Colchester.
Nicky, 51, was inspired to take on the challenge after friend Julie Lyon was diagnosed with breast cancer and said she was worried about losing her hair.
She is also cutting her hair in support of her dad, Robin Poulter, who has terminal cancer.
Cash raised from the head shave will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Breast Awareness campaign.
Nicky, of Avon Way, Greenstead, said: "Julie was so worried about losing her hair so I said ‘if you lose yours I will lose mine’."
- To sponsor Nicky visit the Boots on Tamarisk Way.
