A CULT kitty unofficially adopted by Essex University staff and students has been reunited with his owner.
Pebbles – who became known at the university as the Essex Campus Cat – appeared on the Wivenhoe campus about six months ago and made a name for himself.
A Facebook page was even created in honour of Pebbles, showing him walking into lectures, relaxing in the Teaching Centre and even inspecting the toilets.
He was reunited with his owner after a member of Student Support took him to a vet and found he had a microchip and he is now back with his owner Heather Smith, on the Greenstead estate in Colchester.
