A DOCTOR working at Colchester’s A&E unit on the night a tragic student waited nearly 90 minutes to be assessed will face no further action.

Timothy Jarvis, 18, died of a head injury on October 11, 2011, days after starting his maths degree at Essex University. He fell down a flight of stairs after downing a bottle of rum at Wivenhoe campus’s South Courts.

He was taken to Colchester General Hospital, but was not assessed for nearly 90 minutes.

He died two days later.
