Pupils donned pink and purple to raise money for the latest Rotary campaign.
Schoolchildren at St James’ Primary School in Guildford Road, Colchester, greatly enjoyed the themed day and donned items such as pink glasses and wigs.
Friday’s event was in support of the Rotary’s campaign to end polio across the world and a guest speaker attended to explain to the children what it the effects of the illness were.
Rachel Saunders, acting deputy headteacher, said: “The children absolutely loved it and they each took great pride in being as creative as they possibly could, with some even spray painting their hair.”
