ESSEX County Council has still not refunded ANY of the 30,000 tickets given to motorists for using Colchester’s bus lanes.
The fines – worth £1million – were rescinded a month after the lanes up North Hill and in the High Street turning into Queen Street were introduced.
The county council waived the tickets after motorists complained the bus lanes were not clearly signed or marked.
New signs have been installed and the roads were tarmaced in red this week.
The decision to rescind the fines was announced on Wednesday, January 8.
While many motorists had challenged their fines rather than paying them, thousands are still waiting for refunds nearly a month on.
