A Braintree headteacher has paid tribute to former Tabor Science College pupil Tyler Duchar-Clark, 19.
Tyler had been studying Television and Film Production at the University of Portsmouth and was in his first year.
The Braintree teen, who was found dead in his room on Sunday, was described by his university tutor as “a bright, proactive student who was doing well academically”.
Tabor Academy headteacher Steven Clark said: “It’s just so sad.
“He had a life ahead of him and it’s a life cut short which had so much potential.
“He was an able student and a really positive part of the school. He was a good kid.
“It’s devastating. As a parent myself, your thoughts immediately turn to his family and what they must be going through.”
