ALMOST £30,000 has been set aside to improve community venues across the borough.
Colchester Council has earmarked £28,000 in grant money which will be available to groups.
The money could be used to repairs roofs or windows, upgrade heating or plumbing, upgrade kitchens or improve disabled access.
There is no limit in how much a group can apply for.
Applications can be submitted between Friday, February 7 and Friday, April 4.
Annie Feltham, Colchester Borough Council Portfolio Holder for communities and leisure, said: “I am pleased that we are able to provide this help and support for community and voluntary groups.
“Unfortunately we can’t give money to every organisation which applies as our funds are limited, but we will do our best to use this money wisely to ensure it has impact where it is most needed.”
To apply, go to colchester.gov.uk or email fay.mathers@colchester.gov.uk.
