A GATEWAY into Colchester town centre is to get an overdue facelift.
Colchester Council is preparing to market land it owns on Magdalen Street, near Colchester town station, this spring.
Officers have prepared a draft “development brief” setting out how 1.4 hectares of land, much of it council-owned and now redundant, should be regenerated.
Theresa Higgins, councillor for New Town, said the area’s shabby appearance, which includes a former bus depot, needed a facelift.
