Alarm scares off would-be burglars
A BURGLAR alarm is thought to have scared off would-be thieves who broke into a house in St Andrews Avenue in Colchester.
Raiders damaged a window and door frame to break into the home between 2pm and midnight on Thursday, January 23.
Nothing is believed to have been taken as a burglar alarm was activated – the suspects are thought to have made off over a brick wall.
