POLICE are searching for a man after an attempted burglary in Clacton.

Officers have released an e-fit of the suspect and hope the public can help identify him.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A man tried to jemmy open the window of a property in Beaumont Avenue between 12.30pm and 1pm on December 13 but was disturbed by the home-owner.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact Pc Dan Macey, or his colleagues at Clacton CID, on 101. Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
