A YOUNGSTER from Mersea has been chosen to play the main part in a new children’s TV series.
Benjamin John Taylor, nine, will play the lead role in the Brilliant Book, which will be on the Community Channel from October.
The show is about the adventures of a boy and his friends.
Each of the 26 episodes ends with the boy, played by Benjamin, adding his adventures of the day to his brilliant book.
Patrick Hurst, the channel’s scheduling manager, said: “Benjamin looks like quite a character and should certainly make for good viewing”
Benjamin will travel to Kent for filming once a month for the next year.
The channel is available on Freeview channel 87 as well as through BT Vision, BBC iPlayer and Sky Anytime’s On Demand service.
