SINGER Matt Cardle has thanked his fans for their support after going into rehab to tackle an apparent prescription drug addiction.
Cardle, 30, booked into London’s Priory Clinic on Sunday after claims he was hooked on temazepam and Valium.
The singer, from Little Maplestead, has posted a picture of a handwritten note on his Twitter page.
It read: “I want to thank my fans for all your lovely messages of support. I’m getting myself better.
“I want to be ready to give it 110 per cent on tour next year. I love you all and will see you on the other side.”
Cardle, right, who won ITV reality show X Factor in 2010, is scheduled to start an 18-date tour of the UK and Ireland.
