A BLACKMAILER is planning to appeal against his conviction.
A judge branded Anthony Still evil, wicked and heartless for obtaining £630,000 from a wealthy businessman.
Still, 52, of St Johns Road, Clacton, discovered the man was seeing a teenage rent boy and started demanding money from him.
If the cash payments were not made, Still told his victim his guilty secret would be exposed.
Still spent eight years spinning a web of complex and bizarre stories to get money from the man.
Still was jailed for 11 years and a proceeds of crime probe was launched to see if any of the cash he got from his victim could be recovered.
Details of Still’s appeal were revealed during a brief hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court to delay the proceeds of crime timetable.
It has been put on hold until Still’s appeal against conviction hearing, which is expected to take place in the next few months.
During the three-week trial, Still denied blackmail, saying he was paid to research male escort agencies, but was convicted.
