A flood alert for the River Colne, from Great Yeldham to Colchester, has been removed.
The Environment Agency issued the alert at 10am on Christmas Eve, which was still in force this morning.
But the warning is no longer in force as of 11am today.
Prior to its removal this morning, the River Colne alert was one of 11 alerts for the East of England region which remained in place.
There are currently four more serious flood warnings in place, although none of these are in Essex.
