CHRISTMAS presents were stolen by burglars who broke into the Clacton home.

Jewellery and an iPad were among the things taken from the Anchor Road house between 1.30pm and 10.30pm on Thursday, December 12.

Investigating officer Dc Luke Howard, said: “Sadly, most burglars don’t have any problem in stealing the gifts you have carefully chosen for your loved ones this Christmas.

“To protect your gifts I would advise that you ensure your home is properly secured when you go out, and consider putting your lights on a timer so thieves don’t realise your home is empty.”

Anyone with information about the burglary should contact the police on the non-emergency number 101.
