POLICE are hunting for a driver involved in a hit and run crash in Colchester.
At about 11.20pm on Sunday night a 43-year-old man was walking on Berechurch Hall Road, near the junction with Monkwick Avenue.
He was hit by a car which then drove off in the direction of Mersea Road.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The car is thought to be a blue Peugeot 206 with a young female driver.
"The front nearside wing mirror was knocked off the vehicle in the collision.
"The pedestrian, who was crossing the road, fortunately only received minor injuries."
Police at Stanway Road Policing unit are appealing for the driver of the car to contact them or anyone with information to call PC Trevor Sleet on 101.
