Heroes help victim after robbery in Colchester town centre

GOOD Samaritans who helped save a man being robbed are being urged to contact police.
Detectives are keen to take statements from three heroes who came to the aid of a man being attacked on East Hill, Colchester.
After intervening the three managed to recover a bag and stop the attack.
Their evidence could be crucial in bringing the criminal to justice.
At about 7.20pm on Saturday the victim, a 27-year-old man from Colchester, was punched in the face.
He was walking home down the High Street and onto East Hill when he was assaulted.
The victim tried to run away but was chased down the road and punched again at which point his bag was stolen.
Three men, having witnessed what happened rushed to his aid and managed to get the bag back.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail while investigations continue.
Any witnesses, particularly those who intervened, are asked to call Colchester CID on 101.
