Stolen bank cards used in Clacton

BANK cards stolen from elderly hospital patients have been used in Clacton.
Detectives in Surrey have released CCTV images of a woman they want to speak to connection with two reported thefts from St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey.
The alleged incidents happened between noon and 1.45pm in Tuesday, September 10.
Witnesses reported seeing a women approach the beds of two women, one in her 80s and the other in her 60s, saying she worked at the hospital and taking cash, jewellery and bank cards.
The cards have since been to withdraw money in Clacton and Stratford.
PC Claire Catcheside said: "I am urging members of the public to help us catch the heartless individuals responsible for these appalling thefts and any information could prove crucial.
"The brazen manner in which the crimes were committed is unusual – both thefts took place during the middle of the day when the hospital would have been extremely busy and no attempt appears to have been made to disguise what was happening.
"It is particularly shocking that on both occasions the offenders targeted elderly patients while they were in the process of receiving medical care.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
