Spooky tours to mark Halloween
GHOST tours of Colchester could get your spine tingling this Halloween.
Serious thrill-seekers can enjoy the Blood Curdling walking tour on Friday, visiting haunted Colchester.
The tour, taking in ghost-inhabited sites such as St Botolph’s Street and Hollytrees Museum, will be led by Dorcas the thief, Reverend Round and Nick and Mary the Castle gaolers.
A family friendly tour also takes place on Halloween itself with people invited to dress up.
The Simply Spooky Moonlight tour, next Thursday, will encounter surprises as it goes through Castle Park and the Dutch Quarter.
- Both tours last approximately 90 minutes and will start the War Memorial in Colchester High Street at 7pm.
- Tours are fully accessible for wheelchairs and are not weather-dependant.
- Tickets cost £7 adults, £4 children, available from the Visitor Information Centre, Queen Street, or by calling 01206 282920. Booking recommended.
