Failing Greenstead school set to become academy
A SCHOOL in special measures looks set to become an academy next year.
A monitoring report by Ofsted reveals St Andrew’s Junior School, in Greenstead, is in talks with the county council to move away from local authority control.
The Hickory Avenue school was placed in special measures in early July after failing an Ofsted inspection in May.
The school was unavailable to comment on the report.
The infant school next door is separate and not linked to the proposals.
