X Factor reject Jordan signs to the same agency as judge Gary

IT wasn’t quite the route X Factor reject Jordan Hyams had planned into the music business, but he plans to grasp it with both hands.
He auditioned for the ITV talent show but never got a call back, missing out on a chance to sing in front of judges Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osborne and Nicole Scherzinger.
But when he was contacted by the mum of another solo singer who missed out, offering him a chance to join R ‘n’ B boy band Mr Meanor, he jumped at the chance.
Now the band, made up of members Tay Tay, from Enfield, JK Kirby, from Dagenham and Marcel D. Wildy, from Los Angeles, has now been signed up by an agency with the likes of Tinchy Stryder, Outkast and X Factor judge Gary Barlow on its books.
Ex-labourer Jordan, 19, of Tippett Close, in Colchester, said: “It’s all been such a whirlwind for us.
“To see the fan page go from 100 people to 18,000 in a week was all a bit surreal, but I’m not complaining.”
He added: “I had to give up my job to do this.
“I’ve really realised how hard you have to work to even get close to making it, so I’m putting everything into this.
“But I hope it will be worth it.”
The band is now practicing for forthcoming shows with urban act and fellow William Morris Endeavour agency act Tinchy Stryder and indie band, The View.
