Colchester's car ban is back - but you'd never know it.
Hundreds of motorists are flouting the new traffic regulations by ignoring the bus lane up North Hill and the no right turn into Queen Street.
- Carpenter Matthew Ding found some long lost treasure while working on a house in Dedham. Now the box containing jewellery and diamonds has been reunited with its owner.
- A horse and pony suffered horrific injuries when they were mauled by a Staffordshire bull terrier at Mistley Place Park.
The dog jumped over the fence at the animal sanctuary and sank its teeth into the legs of two horses in front of shocked onlookers.
- Hotel chain Travelodge has asked Colchester Council to help borrow Government cash so it can build a hotel in the town.
However, councillor Paul Smith questioned whether public money should be used for commercial advantage.
