Next stage of project in Colchester's Hythe to get underway
6:24pm Wednesday 9th October 2013 in News
FRESH work to make Colchester’s Hythe more inviting and accessible is to start shortly.
Phase two of the Town to Port project will see footpaths in the Hythe upgraded, parts of King Edward Quay enhanced and links between the Old Port and Rowhedge improved.
The first phase, led by architects Dallas Pierce Quintero, saw routes upgraded and “wayfinder” points installed and culminated in the return of the Hythe Festival, attended by thousands.
The next step will be the unveiling of a revamped Hythe Bridge, near the train station, on Friday, October 18.
