Brothers undergo kidney transplant after inheriting rare genetic disease
TWO brothers have undergone a kidney transplant after inheriting a rare genetic disease.
Lee Dronfield,17, and his brother, Alfie, ten, have the renal disorder nephronophthisis.
It has meant they have had a lifetime of tests and hospital visits.
But both boys have also allowed blood samples and other tissues to be taken for research in the hopes of finding answers to genetic conditions.
