Where has £4.7 million St Botolph's Quarter regeneration cash gone?
2:00pm Friday 4th October 2013 in News
COLCHESTER Council has pumped £4.7 million into projects to regenerate St Botolph's Quarter, although there's little to show for it yet.
A Freedom of Information request by the Gazette discovered the council has handed firms - including consultants, surveyors and lawyers - hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Overall, about £4.7 million has been spent on St Botolph's Quarter regeneration projects, although about half has come from third parties.
The only regeneration project completed so far is the public space outside the Firstsite gallery.
