A LISTED Georgian building which underwent a £1million makeover has been turned into nine luxury flats.
Four-storey John Cole House, in Crouch Street, was originally built for wealthy wool merchant John Cole in the mid-1700s.
But the property was converted into officers and most of the period features were removed, until Halcyon Property Ltd took it over two years ago and planned to reinstate the Georgian detail.
The firm employed Nayland-based builders Abacus Build UK and specialist tradesmen Copford Woodcraft Kitchens to carry out the restoration work.
The historic property now boasts all the mod cons, including an intercom, Sky, cable and Freeview TV as well as gas boilers and granite and solid oak worktops.
In total, there are four one-bed flats, three two-bed flats and two studio apartments, which are available to rent between £600 per month and £875 per month.
