In today's Gazette: Teenager Jack Hummerstone has been told he is facing a long jail sentence after being found guilty of knifing rapper Thomas Brittain to death in a Colchester flat.
Hummerstone, 18, had denied the murder and had blamed Andre Vella but the jury at Chelmsford Crown Court did not believe him. Vella, 19, was cleared on the murder charge but admitted having an imitation firearm.

* Former British champion boxer Lee Purdy has appeared in court charged with being part of a gang targeting elderly and vulnerable people.
Purdy, 26, of Greenstead Road, Colchester, was one of four men and two women who appeared at Colchester Magistrates Court charged with money laundering. They all denied the charges.
* A rapist who drugged a young woman and subjected her to a nine hour sex assulat has been quizzed on suspicion of murdering a former Colchester schoolgirl.
Hampshire police have confirmed they arrested and questioned Lloyd Phillips, 48, shortly after Lucy Simms, 26, was found dead. Phillips has since been jailed for 11 years after being convicted of two counts of rape and four counts of serious sexual assault on a 22-year-old woman.
* A Good Samaritan was robbed when he was tricked into stopping to help a stranded motorist.
The teenager from Tolleshunt Major was flagged down by a woman but a man appeared and punched him in the face and stole £250.
