Colchester: Jobs created at new home furnishings store
6:00pm Tuesday 10th September 2013 in News
FOUR jobs have been created after a new home furnishings store opened at Turner Rise Retail Park, Colchester.
Wedo Home promises customers there is no queuing at the shop, as there are no checkouts.
Instead customers are encouraged to browse more than 20,000 items online in the shop with support available from the staff if wanted.
Purchases are then made via an iPad with the help of one of the staff.
Wedo Home launched online two years ago but has decided to open its first shop in Colchester.
Andrew Buxton, Wedo Home’s general store manager, said: “We are proud to call Colchester the home of our flagship store.
“We hope people will agree that we offer a truly unique formula of home-furnishing shopping that rivals the region’s best. We invite anyone within commutable distance to come and experience our extensive range and thought-through approach to shopping underpinned by a human service with our expert service team.”
The store opened in June shortly after Carpetright vacated the premises.
