MORE breast cancer survivors are being invited to a celebratory party in Colchester.
Organisers of the Life After Breast cancer tea party, at Colchester’s Moot Hall on October 3, want to beat last year’s attendance of 109.
It is open to anyone, including men, who has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer. Survival rates are improving because of earlier detection, more awareness and targeted treatment.
Karen Reeve, breast care nurses secretary at Essex County Hospital, said it was always an enjoyable afternoon where people can benefit from meeting others in the same situation.
