4:37pm Thursday 29th August 2013 in News
A MAN has appeared in court after a pick-up truck crashed into a garden wall, seriously injuring one person.
Jonathan Dainty, 26, of Abbey Field View, Colchester, faced four charges relating to the incident on June 30, when he appeared at the town’s magistrates’ court.
He is accused of drink-driving, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report it and aggravated vehicle taking.
The charges arise from a crash in Mersea Road, Colchester.
Dainty did not enter a plea to any of the charges and his case was referred to Chelmsford Crown Court.
He will appear at that court on September 17 and was granted unconditional bail.
