UPDATED: Baby aged 9 months in life-threatening condition after Thorrington crash

A NINE-MONTH-OLD baby has been airlifted to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
The baby, and a woman of unknown age, were separately airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital following a two car crash on Clacton Road, Thorrington, near Hollybush Hill, at 9.40am today.
Three other girls and a man, who were all in a Hyundai, were taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital with less serious injuries.
Their car collided with a Landrover.
A St Osyth man, 61, has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving causing injury, and is currently in police custody.
The road remains closed, with cars being diverted around Thorrington through Great Bentley.
- Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
